Experience the highlights of Morocco with a private, customized tour designed around your Semester at Sea schedule. From the blue streets of Chefchaouen to the golden dunes of the Sahara and the vibrant streets of Marrakech, this itinerary combines Morocco’s most memorable experiences in six days.
Day 1 – September 22: Tangier Port → Chefchaouen
Your Morocco adventure begins with a private pick-up at Tangier Port.
Meet your driver and depart toward Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City nestled in the Rif Mountains.
Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and enjoy free time to explore the charming blue-painted streets of the Medina. Wander through the local souks, discover small cafés and shops, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful mountain town.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant and experience the local atmosphere.

Day 2 – September 23: Chefchaouen → Fes → Middle Atlas → Merzouga Sahara Desert
Today begins your journey toward the Sahara Desert.
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and travel toward Fes, continuing through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Depending on your group’s preferred schedule, you can make a short stop in Fes before continuing toward Ifrane and the Cedar Forest.
Continue through the Middle Atlas to Midelt, known for its beautiful mountain scenery, before traveling through the spectacular Ziz Valley.
In the afternoon, continue toward Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert.
Upon arrival, begin your camel trek across the dunes and enjoy the spectacular Sahara sunset before reaching your desert camp.
Spend the evening enjoying dinner, traditional Berber music, and the peaceful atmosphere of the desert.

Day 3 – September 24: Sahara Desert Tour
Wake up early to enjoy the spectacular Sahara sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes.
After breakfast, begin a private 4×4 excursion around the desert.
Explore the surrounding desert area and discover the different landscapes and communities around Merzouga. Depending on your group’s interests, the excursion can include a visit to a traditional nomadic family, a stop in Khamlia village to experience Gnawa music, and time to enjoy the dunes.
You can also try sandboarding and relax at the desert camp during the afternoon.
Later, return to the dunes to enjoy another beautiful Sahara sunset.
Spend your second night in the desert camp, enjoying dinner and an evening beneath the stars.

Day 4 – September 25: Sahara Desert → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
After breakfast, leave the Sahara Desert and begin your journey toward Marrakech.
Travel through Erfoud and the beautiful landscapes of southeastern Morocco before reaching Todra Gorge, one of the country’s most impressive natural attractions.
Continue through the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses before reaching Ouarzazate.
From Ouarzazate, visit Ait Ben Haddou, the famous UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most recognizable historic villages.
After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, continue through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech.
After check-in, enjoy a free evening to relax or explore the area around your accommodation.

After breakfast, meet your local guide and explore the historic Medina.
Visit some of the city’s most important attractions, explore the colorful souks, discover traditional Moroccan architecture, and learn about the history and culture of Marrakech.
During your free time, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and continue exploring the city at your own pace.
In the afternoon, continue discovering the Medina and surrounding areas.
In the evening, experience the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa, where you can enjoy Moroccan food, local entertainment, and the unique energy of Marrakech.

Day 6 – September 27: Marrakech → Tangier Port

This will be a long-distance travel day, so we recommend an early departure to ensure your group arrives back at the port comfortably and on time.
Travel north through Morocco with your private driver and enjoy the changing landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival in Tangier, your driver will drop your group off directly at Tangier Port, completing your Morocco adventure.
Tour ends at Tangier Port.
