3 DAYS SAHARA DESERT TOUR FROM MARRAKECH ITINERARY

DAY 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

On the first day of our Marrakech desert tour 3 days, will depart early in the morning from Marrakech and drive across the High Atlas Mountains, where we will make some stops to enjoy the stunning views, passing through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, an ancient kasbah that has been featured in many films and TV shows.

After exploring the kasbah, we will drive through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of
Africa” (optional to visit the Atlas Studio). we will continue along the scenic Road of 1000 Kasbahs, and end our day in a beautiful hotel in Dades Valley.

  • The driving distance from Marrakech to Dades Valley is approximately 325 km and the driving time is around 6-7 hours, depending on traffic.

DAY 2: Dades Valley - Toudra Gorge - Merzouga Desert

On the second day of our 3 days tour from Marrakech, we will continue driving to a rock formation called “monkey’s fingers” where we can take a break and pics. Later on, we visit the Todgha Gorges and take a walk through the stunning canyon, which rises to around 300m altitude. Then we will drive through the Draa Valley and arrive in the town of Erfoud, known for its fossils and date palm trees. 

Reaching to Sahara desert, which is the best highlight of our 3 day desert trip from Marrakech, we will find our camels caravan are waiting for you to go in a unique experience over the big sand dunes. You will have free time to sit and enjoy a magical sunset over the dunes.

After the sun goes down, you will conitnue to your desert camp, where you will be welcomed with Moroccan green tea, and have a rest in your tent. After a traditional dinner in the camp, be ready for drumming party by the Berber nomads, and enjoy the live show music around the bonfire under countless of bright stars.

DAY 3: Merzouga desert - Back to Marrakech

The last day of our 3 day desert tour from Marrakech, advisably to wake up early to watch a stunning sunrise from the camp. We will have our fresh breafast in the same camp before we leave. We will across the sand dunes back again to your driver either by the camels or 4×4 car, it’s up to you.
