DAY 2:
Sightseeing in Fes

On the second day of our 5 days desert tour from Tangier, we will take you on a day tour of Fes, where we will visit, see, and do a variety of things. To begin, we will go to one of the king’s palaces, which has seven admired golden gates to photograph. Then we will drive you to Borj Nord for a panoramic view. From the top of Fes, you can see the entire city. If you are interested, we can then drive to the mosaic cooperative, which is well-known in Fes.

Following that, we will explore the old Medina, also known as Fes El Bali. We will enter the medina through Bab Boujloud, also known as “the blue gate.” From there, we’ll go to the world’s oldest university and mosque, Al Qarawiyyin. We will also visit the Madrassas of Attarine and Bou Inania, which are architecturally significant schools. Furthermore, we will visit one of Fes’ three tanneries, the most well-known of which is the Chouara Tannery.

DAY 3 :
Fes to Sahara desert via Ifrane and Azrou {470 km} 7 Hours.

Our Morocco itinerary 5 days desert tour from Tangier will continue towards Merzouga desert, the highlight of all Morocco tours. The drive from Fes to Merzouga takes nearly 7 hours, including stops. As a result, our first stop will be in Ifrane, Morocco’s little Switzerland. There, we will see the Atlas Lion Statue, which was carved by a German prisoner during the French colonization for his freedom.

We’ll make another stop in Azrou at the cedar forest. We will learn about the lives of the Barbary monkeys, feed them, take pictures, and then depart for the desert.

We’ll arrive in Merzouga after a few stops, including one at Errachidia’s dam and another in Ziz Valley. Our camel leaders will meet you at the edge of the sand dunes and take you on a camel ride across Erg Chebbi. Before they take you to the camp, they will make a sunset stop.

The best site we’ll see on this day is the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a Berber fortress built entirely of bamboo. As a result, they call it a Kasbah, which comes from the Berber word Kasab, which means “bamboo.” Many famous movie scenes were filmed there. For example, they appeared in Lawrence of Arabia and the British-American drama Gladiator. Being here is more than just a tourist attraction; it is also a filming location for historical films.
